This is book 2 in the New York Crime Kings book series, previously released as Twisted; Book 2 in the Broken Series.

I am definitely a fan of the new title and cover, it really encompasses what we have going on in this book, this den of inequity and the secret lives of the people dwelling within it. This is an amazing sequel to a fabulous book. It must be hard to put so much into such a short book, to put enough content in to keep the story moving without losing your style of writing. It is absolutely nailed in this book, the story flows, seemingly effortlessly, and leaves us completely on tenterhooks waiting for the next installment.

It’s wonderful to see the growth and changing qualities in the characters. How Emily has gone from a wall flower to a lion in such a short space of time but still manages to remain essentially ‘Emily’. The adversities that Jai has come across in life, lived through and moved on, and is taking claim back on his life.

The tale of two unlikely people crossing paths on a train, an occurrence that changes both their lives forever. Will they make it through? Can love conquer all? Will Jai find his brother and avenge his family? So much still in flux and so many questions waiting to be answered.

My favourite quote has got to be “Rain is badass!” I completely agree!

Looking forward to the next chapter in this amazing story x

Okay ….

So ladies … thank you everyone who joined in with my first ever giveaway! It was great fun and I’m sure our three lovely winners are going to enjoy their bits and bobs … I’m extremely jealous!

Having had a break from Sector Four for the weekend I have read Ice and Fire by another duo team; Kathy Coopman and Hilary Storm. I really enjoyed the first book, less so the second but still worth a read.

I’m going to head into Ashton Scott tomorrow as I’ve got episodes 5 and 6 to read so looking forward to that! I’ve also seen that there are a few books available from Skyla Madi, which are the new titles from the original Broken Series so I will be having a look through those again shortly! Keep an eye out for the next giveaway 🙂

Book 2 in the Elite Forces Series

Well there is definitely plenty of action in this story for you, that’s for certain!

A great one to pick up as and when with some fabulous characters ready to take centre stage.

Unfortunately, I’m not really in love with Kaleb, he’s lost a little something in this book for me. As determined and pig headed as ever, a control freak in and our of the bedroom but for some reason I’m just not feeling the connection with him in this one.

Its disappointing as I was really looking forward to seeing what would happen in this book. I still love our sassy little sharp shooter, she’s definitely out to kick some ass! I might come back for the other books when they’re released as there are some other great characters in here that I would like to see more of.

Book 1 in the Elite Forces Series

Well that was different, I think this is probably the first forces type book that I’ve read so it took a bit of getting in to the right headspace and I didn’t really follow the ranks.

There’s a great story running through here and I’m looking forward to the next book. The sex scenes are a touch unrealistic and I’m really not sure how safe it is, even hypothetically, to do that over explosives!

On the plus side I truly like our main character, Jade is great. A strong, gritty, determined woman, she’s worked hard to get to the top of her game and she’s not going ot be knocked or beaten by anyone. When her new commander arrives and the mission begins her whole world is turned upside down!

Kaleb Maverick is the elite of elite forces, the top of his game and is used to getting his own way. That is, until a certain little spitfire tries to take him down a peg or two. The chemistry is off the charts, but will it go anywhere?

On to book 2!

Wow!

Well what a week it has been! All fun and games over in Sector Four that is for certain! I can not believe the ending for Beyond Ecstasy, another amazing lead into the next book and some more fantastic writing from the team!

Well they’ve done it again. Another fantastic book, gripping from the get go and smoothly through to the next book.

Sweet, unassuming Hawk, what a dark horse! I really didn’t see all that sexual tension coming. I was a bit unsure whether he would be able to keep up with our resident little temptress but he certainly managed that and more!

With the weight of  world on his shoulders and the carefree attitude of the O’Kanes would he ever be able have everything that he wanted? Would she forever be untouchable after spending so much time with Dallas and Lex?

In this book not only do we see Jeni and Hawk but we get to look further into Sector Six and check back in with a few other people. I’m really looking forward to the next book  definitely want see more of Ashwin!

Way to start with a bang! And end with a twist!

I have been looking forward to reading the story of the illusive Adrian Rios for quite some time and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

A reflective look at the past of some of the less central characters so far and how their experiences ground them together.

I was a bit uncertain how a relationship with four people was going to work practically. It worked for Cruz, Ace and Rachel eventually but that is a life hard won and fought for. Would four people be able to over come the same arduous tasks that life throws at them?

Especially when those four are a prince, an orphan, a junkie and a spy. There’s some serious storytelling in this book! To guide you through four lives while keeping the story moving forward and leading through into the next book takes some real skill!

Very well written and stopped at the prefect place to lead on into the next book. Looking forward to seeing what is in store for the next chapter!

Another great book!

So what’s happening …

As you can probably tell from the recent reviews I’ve been quite distracted in Sector Four with Kit Rocha and the Beyond Series. I’m about to delve into book 7 which will no doubt seamlessly flow in to the most recent Book (Beyond Ecstasy), which is the one I’m yet to read.

As well as enjoying some time with Dallas and Lex, the fabulous Nina Levine has dished out her most recent portion of Ashton Cole. I really wanted to store a couple of episodes up to read in one go but I just can’t seem to wait long enough 🙂

Meet Ashton Scott…

He thought he knew it all. He knew nothing.

Ashton Scott thinks everything is available for a price.

That is, until he meets Lorelei Winters.

She’s going to teach him that not everything he craves can be bought.

A new web serial from USA Today Bestselling author, Nina Levine.

Warning: Contains a panty-melting, suit-wearing alpha & a sassy woman who argues way too much with her man for his liking.

For anyone yet to meet the amazing Lorelei you can get these free on Nina’s website; http://ninalevinebooks.com/

A terrified, drug using, virgin arriving in Sector Four – What a combination! Would she be able to go it without the drugs? How will that change the terrifying world that she exists in? When she finally starts to sober up and crosses paths with Jared – that looks like a great combination!

Lili and Jared; innocence and experience, light and dark, gentle and whatever you need. He is the perfect man to open her eyes to a sexual world that she is so unprepared for.

It was fairly easy to see the ways in which Jared would change her life forever, less so how she would change the world for him. But change it she did! It was exciting to see how the things she has done in her past can be transformed into useful tools for her in this new world.

What looked like it could have been a simple storyline had a few fabulous twists and a wonderful ending. Thank you for another great story!
