Okay so once again I went in to this one blind, I’ve not even read the synopsis … bad reader!

I loved starting at the end and then going back to the beginning and filling in. That was a great way to read the book! By the time we had caught back up I’d completely forgotten about where we started and the whole thing was a great surprise!

I loved the twists and turns throughout the story, the emotional connection between the characters and the way his past and present intertwine. There is some real depth to the characters and I’m looking forward to seeing where the story goes in the next book.

It isn’t rushed, there isn’t 15 million things blowing up every second, this is not an action story but a genuine story of love. I really enjoyed the pace the author set and how we were led through this great period of learning to love very gently. I completely devoured the book in one sitting. It might not be action but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t completely captivating because it is.

A great job for a debut book!

We haven’t seen a lot of Bear or Fran up to this point, both have been more peripheral characters but we’re about to get really close!

In the first paragraph I just knew that this book was going to break my heart and put it back together again! I’ve not got through the first page and already it’s emotional, definately prepping for the roller coaster!

I loved spending time with Fran and Maria, it’s the weirdest thing! It’s like reading about your mum and her best friend out shopping and getting lunch and stuff. So completely normal, relate able, friendly people 😊

It’s gets a little wierd when it comes to sex … It’s like reading about your parents sex life … which is sort of wierd! I love how down to earth about the whole thing they are and how the characters can laugh at themselves through it. They are a real pair!

There is not as much of an emotional roller coaster as I was expecting at the beginning but definately a few moments in there. I really like how this tied another stand alone book into the fold as well, that was very cleverly done!

I love the sense of humour throughout the book and in true Gallo style all payback is beautifully written! As expected family is central to the plot and close friends are always near, looking forward to seeing where we are led next.

It was lovely to touch back on with Blake and dash from the Edge of Chaos, book one of this series.

We already know the characters and what they have endured and processed to finally get their happily ever after. What happens once you get the girl and swan  off into the sunset? Is life really ever quite as rosy as that? Well, for most of us no it isn’t. Life, and love is hard. Things happen, we question ourselves, our decisions, our love. Very rarely in real life is love smooth sailing after the initial fight for the one is over.

So it’s refreshing to see that being portrayed here. Did all of Blake’s insecurities magically disappear because Dash was now by her side? No, no they didn’t. Was Dash now so super a man that he had no flaws and never made a mistake? No, no he isn’t. They are both so real and relate able that it’s incredibly easy to fall into the story and find yourself immersed in their world once again.

The depth of characters that Molly produces is amazing. There are plenty of twists and turns and lots going on in this book. A great story with a fabulous ending that pulled me along and kept me turning those pages without thinking twice.

I literally went from 30% through to the end because I could not put this one down. A fabulously written story of love, love as we know it in our own lives and how perfect, or not, it can be!

Title: Tormented

I flipping loved it – I don’t even know where to start!

I have been looking forward to seeing where Sawyer ends up since the last book – not so patiently waiting for more. It delivers ! It’s more than I could ever dream of for him!

Nobody is perfect. I don’t think I personally know anyone quite as unstable as Sawyer, but none of us are perfect. This book is the imperfect finding the imperfect and encapsulated in this quote:

“I want your jagged edges to match mine”

Isn’t that what we all want? To meet that one that completes us? That makes us whole. It’s a bit more complicated for Sawyer with his devil … he’s unpredictable and unstable. How much did his time with Dana really affect who he is and will those changes stick?

So far Abbey has been a peripheral character but what we have seen so far is that she has been through some awful things, she is strong enough to keep plowing through but has plenty of triggers. There are very few people who know of her true past and nobody who knows the full story. When she sees how Sawyer can be crazy and still accepted, she wants to know how! She is crazy yet marginalised from the rest, how can she tame the beast within and disappear into the real world unnoticed?

Well I think it’s safe to say she can’t! Unsurprisingly this is an emotionally and mentally turbulent story taking you through some fairly epic moments.

I loved this one, it really captured the essence of this story for me. Again, isn’t this what we often too scared to admit ourselves ?

“Maybe I wanted to know that who I am, all the fucked up and unbalanced parts of me, didn’t bother somebody for a change. Ever think that? Ever cross your mind that for once, I might have seen the motherfuckin’ possibility that someone would love me for who I am, goddamn insanity and all?”

Another amazing job from Max Henry ! Completely worth the wait, back to waiting for the next installment x
