Love Beyond Opposites Review

Title: Love Beyond Opposites

Author: Molly E Lee

Well this is the final instalment of the grad night series and it lives up to the expectations.

I loved the other books and knew this one would be a nice light easy read. Molly’s writing style is easy to read and the writing flows effortlessly.

The characters are relateable and fun and I love the idea of the rock star and the mathlete! This is a fun story and I really enjoyed it, definately a recommendation from me!

Kings Wrath Review

Title: Kings Wrath

Author: Nina Levine

I know I’m not the only one who has been waiting for Kings story and omg it doesn’t disappoint.

This series is just that bit grittier than the mother chapter and that is evident throughout each book, no more so than with our president. I love Ninas writing, the storytelling and gentle guide through is fantastic.

King has always been a bit of a loose cannon and in his book we start to unravel the why of it all. He is so beautifully broken. I know the next book is going to be absolutely amazing.

I really daren’t say any more because the story takes all sorts of twists and turns and I don’t want to ruin it. This story is deep, gripping, emotionally charged and an absolute page turner.

Nina Levine has knocked it out the park yet again!

Cade Review

Title: Cade

Author: Golden Czermak

What a fabulous start to the series. Fun and flirty, this laid back ride keeps the pages turning and before you even realise it’s the end and you’re waiting for the next instalment.

I love the combination of self indulgent rich boys and the world they are used to inhabiting clashing with that of the rest of the world. What happens when everything doesn’t go to plan? When someone says no?

Well, different things for different people. I really liked how different the characters are, despite being family and close friends they are a very diverse group of people.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next!

She Review

Title: She

Author: Kailee Reese Samuels

This is the first book in a duet

I’m really not sure what to say about this one? It certainly keeps the pages turning and definately leaves you looking forward to the conclusion.

There’s some great development of the characters throughout the book but I don’t find either of them very relatable.

Natalie is either a pathological liar or a complete nutter and Joe is so wet it’s crazy.

Mr Silver Spoon falls head over heels for a girl he walks past, so far so that he ditches his best mate in favour of what she says. Then when it’s not all sunshine and roses when everything isn’t adding up and there’s clearly something wrong rather than manning up to work it out he buries his head in the sand?

Natalie’s issues do come to light eventually and I think that’s really well concluded in this book. Maybe I don’t get so much of her because the book is single POV and it’s from Joe’s rather than Natalie’s?

Not sure, overall there is some fab progress through the book, the story is gripping, if a bit confusing, and definately leaves you looking forward to the next instalment.

It would be amazing to have more insight into her perspective and I think that would have balanced this book nicely. I’m hoping there will be some more snippets in the next one 😊

Dirty Review

Title: Dirty

Author: Callie Hart

This is the first in a trilogy.

Another amazing story from Callie Hart!

Fix is fantastic; he’s cocky, arrogant and hot as hell. A perfect combination of good wrapped up in bad. Sera is a complete contradiction; strong yet vulnerable, independent yet needing support. The mix of them together is absolutely phenomenal!

Be prepared for things to get hot under the collar as this book lives up to its title and it is hot hot hot!

You are completely on the hook and the story keeps the pages turning right from the beginning. Desperately waiting for the next book!

Our Unscripted Story Review

Title: Our Unscripted Story

Author: L.A. Fiore

This is a standalone novel.

A beautiful contemporary love story that takes our dynamic couple from childhood through to adulthood and all the trials and tribulations between.

There is some fab character development and I loved being able to see how they change over the years.

A great addition to her other stories 🙂

Shield Review

Title: Shield

Author: Anne Malcolm

This is the second in the Greenstone security Series and you can read my other reviews here;

There is some beautiful writing in this book and I loved the story and plot! I do think it may have been better placed as part of the Sons of Templar series. There wouldn’t have been the need for so much catch up and explanation throughout.

A lot of the book is first person with Rosie which is awesome. A lot of Luke’s sections read third person rather than from his POV which can be a difficult transition back and forth.

That being said I really liked Rosie and there’s some beautiful writing. I love how Rosies father sees her, right at the start of the book;

You’re gonna grow wings, baby. And you’re gonna soar and be the only version of you in this whole world. I know you’ll be the heart and soul of this club. In more ways than one. But you’re destined to be somethin’ different. Somethin’ bigger.

Luke is our knight in shining armour, or he would like to be. I’m not sure if he’s trying to save her or himself but he loves hard!

I’ll go to the ends of the earth to find you. And I won’t let you go this time.

I’m not here because you need to protect me from shit. I’m here for the opposite reason. I’m here to be your fuckin’ shield.

Luke is a bit too perfect for me, I like my hero’s with a bit more dirt. The character development through both him and Rosie is wonderful even if he’s not quite my cup of tea.

There are some amazing insights into love and life with love. Not just that hot lust, although there is some of that *fans self*, but that deep and lasting understanding of two souls connecting.

True love doesn’t fall in to place. It isn’t as easy as breathing. It’s a struggle. Takes hard work. Every day. You’ve got to fight for it, but it’s only the most beautiful of things that are worth fighting for.

There is deep love through the friendships, siblings and MC bond as well and it is all done amazingly. The clear understanding and ability to show you the difference is very well done.

So while there were some things not to my taste the writing is very well done and the story is great!

Nailed Down Review

Title: Nailed Down

Author: Chelle Bliss

Now, I knew that Chelle could write one hell of a sex scene but this is seriously not for the under 18’s. You need a fan, a glass of wine, fully charged batteries or a warning to your partner before you start.

Beautifully written this tale of life, love, lust and loss will take you on a journey like no other. An alpha male and a not so shrinking violet will keep you on your toes from start to finish.

A fantastic read, emotionally charged and full of back and forth confusion. Definately gets the recommendation from me 😊

Cake Review

Title: Cake

Author: Carmen Jenner

Okay, so, anyone who knows me in real life knows how much I love cake so this book was obviously written for me! Add in the 7 month pregnancy hormones and yeah I love cake!

This book had me chuckling from the get go, I couldn’t put it down and read it through in one go. A laugh out loud, enemies to lovers, push and pull romance definately ticks all the boxes here!

Poppy is fun, angry, clumsy, drinks as much wine as I wish I could and it’s generally as approachable and amazing as you can imagine. We all need a best friend just like her.

Add in to the mix Nass the Ass; smooth, suave and a complete womanizer, it’s no surprise that sparks, and Poppy, fly on more than one occasion.

This book has a fab story line with great development of the characters throughout. The writing is clear and consistent, really easy to follow and flows beautifully.

A great story, with fab characters, all wrapped up in cake. Fantastic 😊
