Title: Swole: Leg Day
Author: Golden Czermak
This is book 2 in the Swole series.
I’m loving these little story snippets. In this book we meet Jared and have some more time in the gym with Trent. Fab, fun characters in a light hearted story.
Title: Swole: Chest Day
Author: Golden Czermak
This is the first in the Swole series.
And what an intro it is 😁 After being caught red handed in Trent’s fridge Jonny is rising to the challenge in the gym.
A hot little intro, looking forward to seeing what they get up to next time. A young shy guy looking for knowledge and experience from an older guy, someone who knows himself and can hipefilly help Jonny find his way too.
There’s hot chemistry and a fun story all wrapped up a novella. Fab 😊
Title: Nasty
Author: Callie Hart
This is the second book in the Dirty/Nasty series
Another super hot instalment in the series. A compelling story that keeps the pages turning and before you know it you are at the end and swearing ready for the next book.
Fantastically written, the characters are beautifully flawed and the chemistry is off the charts! Clear your evening and warn your partner, Fix in all his alpha goodness will get you hot under the collar.
Waiting with bated breath for book 3!
Title: He
Author: Kailee Reece Samuels
This is the second part of the S/He duet.
I preferred the dual POV in this book to the singular in the first. We get much more insight into what has gone before which explains a lot of what happened in book one and sets the tone for this one.
It’s definately a page turner but I’m still not feeling the connexion with the characters and found them a bit disjointed.
I think because I didn’t connect with the characters I struggled with the story. It all felt a bit sensationalistic and their internal monologue didn’t translate into their actions very well.
I liked the ending and the progress that Natalie makes towards the end of the book. I loved Zoe and Randy’s roles and would love to see some of their stories in the future.
Title: Hedging His Bets
Author: Laura Carter
This is the third book in the Brits in Manhatton series.
Jess is lovely, the wild child who spent her youth touring the world with her aunt and uncle. Jake is cheeky and successful, he works hard and plays hard too.
In some ways an unlikely match but I do love a friend’s to lovers romance ❤
The characters are relateable, hell I would have done exactly the same as Jake on more than one occasion, the story is fab and the writing is wonderful.
The perfect book for a holiday read infront of the pool, with a glass of wine or a cocktail, or on the sofa once the kids are in bed 😊
Title: Down Beat
Author: Max Henry
This is the first in the Dark Tide series.
I have no idea where to start this review. I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
I loved Rey, I loved Tabby. I loved the genuine mistakes that they both made. I loved the band and how real they are.
This book covers some seriously deep material. Let’s be fair mental health issues affect 1 in 4 people, but that person is cared for by their own family so although only 1 person has to live with that illness it touches so many lives by proxy.
We’ve all had bad days, days where it’s not worth getting up, days where you want to give up. But for most of us, we dust it off get up and get on. It’s not quite that simple for everyone. This book beautifully illustrates that difference. Even with love around him and people there to catch him, it’s not that simple.
Rey is … complicated, he is full on and all in (or out). Tabby is gentle and kind, but don’t mistake that for weakness. In a rock and roll world built to chew up and spit out the weak, can the man with the fractured mind make it, or will he break before it’s over?
I can not praise the writing in this book enough. The story is emotive and amazingly written, a journey of love and heartbreak written as only Max Henry can.
Rey will grab you and hold you and he won’t let you go. Don’t start this half an hour before bed because you will be seriously tired the next day, he’s not letting you to until The End.
There is no high enough recommendation for this book. My fave of the year hands down ❤
Title: Tacet A Mortuis
Author: Amo Jones
This is the third book in the Elite Kings Series.
I have really enjoyed Bishop and Madi’s story and am eagerly awaiting the next instalment.
This is a twisting turning rollercoaster of a story. Bishop and Madi love hard and hate even harder, that’s each other as well as other people. So if they turn on you together, you know you are in big trouble!
There are some heartbreaking moments as well as some heart stopping ones. Some seriously hot sex scenes and chemistry off the charts! This is a dark and twisted world we have found ourselves in and the further in we seem to go the more I want to know.
We get lots of answers in this book and lots of new questions which definately keeps the pages turning and you searching out the next little details. I know this is going to need at least one more read through to get all the fine information I missed first time
An amazing story, written only as Amo Jones can 💕
Title: Road Trip
Author: Andie M Long & Laura Barnard
What an absolute hoot of a book! The writing is fluid and easy to read, the characters are relateable and funny. Not in a forced kind of a way, just clumsy and arrogant and the two together makes for some serious amusement.
I literally sat chuckling in the chair throughout this book. I would have liked an epilogue- just to see who ended up in McDonald’s and where lol
This is one of the funniest books I’ve read this year, and I’ve read a few!
