Nina Levine is working through Ashton Scott and things are really starting to hot up in this story now. I hope that it will be released as one book at some point as that would be really cool, otherwise I will have to read each episode through again at the end as I am really enjoying the snippets! I find it so hard to review just three chapters without giving everything away though! The chemistry between these two is really starting to hot up and we are getting to see BUSINESS Ashton, and his fabulous suits! Fun fun fun!

She is also in the cave writing Nitro’s Torment and has laid out the dates for all of that series. This is a spin off series from Storm MC and is based on the lives of the Sydney chapter of Storm MC. This is book 2 and is coming out on September 20th so we have a bit of time to wait. Relent is the first book in this series and I will review that closer to the time, dates below:

Our hard ass, sass queen had been making all the decisions so far so out comes as no great surprise that King is ready to take the reigns. I can’t believe it’s taken him so long to get round to sorting himself out.

Finally he’s got his shit together, he’s gonna get back the girl and spend some the with his son. Or is he? Has he left it too late? Does the club life finally catch up with him?

If you’ve read the Butcher Boys series then you already know some of the answers. I love that the two tie together, we know a little bit about what happens with King and Carlos but not how they fit in to the rest of his life. We also get to see some of the other characters from another point of view as well which is refreshing.

This is another action packed adventure, with an MC spin. Fabulous work again Mrs!

It took a bit of getting used to seeing king as a prospect. He is the hard man we know and love, just younger and sweeter,some of the time.

We haven’t seen anything of Elena really yet so I didn’t have a great feel for who this woman was but I really like her! She has grit and determination and the kind of balls that I know a few men could do with.

It is strange seeing the club in its new light, some different faces and stories there to be told I’m sure. It feels like a new series but not a new series, it’s hard to explain. These are definitely different people and a different world to that which we have seen previously but all wrapped up in a very familiar feel.

Well, I just have to say that I am sorry about the break we have had on here recently.

Life has happened over the last few weeks. I had to take my 10 1/2 year old Husky x Malamute in for an emergency appointment a few weeks ago when I found a lump on her underneath, she had to have emergency surgery and never fully recovered, she stopped eating and had to go on to a drip over the weekend and then started to have seizures. Unfortunately, the biopsy results came back as cancerous, on top of the seizures I didn’t feel it fair to put her through any more pain and my husband and I made the decision to let her go in peace.

Both of my little monkey children have been poorly and ended up in hospital over the last 10 days as well, one luckily ended up being viral and the other needed oxygen, nebulisers and some steroids to get him back up to par.

On top of all this my grandma decided to get a “spider” from her ceiling and fell and broke her hip! Oh yes, its all happening over here at the minute!

As you can see from the last review I was not massively impressed with the book and have been struggling to find the words to write the review with everything else that has been going on. Now life is settling back down and I have got that review out of the way I can start to move forward again.

Well I guess aught to have checked the word count before I started because this is super short! It is also advertised as a standalone book but it must be part of a series of books written by different people under the heading The Club.

I am really struggling to write this review because I wasn’t a massive fan of the book. It is obviously part of a series, despite being advertised as a stand alone. The story felt a bit obvious and there didn’t feel to be a great deal of story to it.

This was, however, an amazing sex scene! The entire book is just one long, hot, sex scene. He’s hot, she’s hot, it works but I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting more, particularly as I really enjoyed Chelle’s writing in other books.

Another action packed snippet of life here!

You’d think he’d be relieved at getting Joel out alive? That it’s all finally over? But no … can anything go to quite to plan? There’s a whole lot of emotions running riot in this book, some good and some bad. It really shows how human these characters are, flaws and all.

I always think it’s a risk, doing something that readers might not like, but if it really is part of who the character is then it works. We have seen enough of these characters to really understand who they are and what makes them tick. So it comes as no surprise that Jai struggles with what to do when making a decision about going back into that world, or not.

Our kitten; lioness, strong, independent, insecure, gritty and completely one of a kind. She is so “the girl next door” it is easy to see yourself in her shoes. To be the one making these decisions and supporting those who have supported you, that it is so easy to slip into this world with them.

Another amazingly gripping novella leaving you wanting more, can’t wait for Ink & Bone!

I’m about to head into Rage & Bullets; book 4 in the New York Crime Kings series from Skyla Madi but am looking forward to seeing what is happening with Ashton Scott tomorrow morning.

Nina Levine is currently in the cave writing Nitro’s Torment and has laid out the plans for the rest of the Sydney Storm MC stories which is exciting news. Keeping an eye out for any release dates on there so that I can read back through, and review for you, prior to release.

Other than that Skyla is writing Book 5 of the New York Crime Kingseries, also exciting 🙂

This is book 3 in the New York Crime Kings book series, previously released as Damaged; Book 3 in the Broken Series.

Another whirlwind ride with Emily and Jai! On the run, not only from their old lives but also their underground lives. How long can they last alone on the streets of New York with the biggest mob boss hot on their tails? Where can they turn for a reprieve? What will become of the search for Joel now?

I love the rawness of the emotion in this book. How uncertain of herself Emily is. Our kitten, turned lioness, has a lot of insecurities. Insecurities that are unsurprising considering her upbringing, and at such odds to the home and family Jai has grown up in, understandably she is worried about what the end result will be here. Was their ‘romance’ just born of being in the gritty underground world or will he still want her in the real world.

Even if he does, will she ever be able to let her walls down long enough to let him in and let him try? Does he want to be in and to try? What a story of love and loss. The grieving process Jai is going through; for his family, for his mission, for such a complete and utter change of direction.

This, however, is no soppy love story and is, as ever, full of action packed adventure. Another perfect little snippet of a greater story. Looking forward to the next installment!
